Upon arrival, group transportation will be provided to the hotel for an overnight stay in Quito’s historic colonial center.
Quito, Ecuador’s second-largest city and the world’s highest capital at 9,350 feet above sea level, has a rich history shaped by centuries of Indigenous civilizations and significant battles before the city was formally founded in 1534.
A group dinner will be arranged to review trip details with the local team and to meet fellow participants.
Day 2 – Sunday - July 12, 2026 - Travel To Project Community
Participants will begin the day with a guided tour of Quito before traveling to the village. Along the way, a visit to La Mitad del Mundo offers the chance to stand directly on the equator.
Lunch will be provided. Upon arrival, participants will be warmly welcomed by community residents.
Time will be available to unpack, rest, meet host families, and start project activities. An orientation dinner will be served, and camping-style group accommodations will be arranged in a local schoolhouse or community center.
Day 3 – 6 - Monday-Thursday - July 13-16, 2026 - Work Hand-In-Hand With the Villiage
Breakfast will be served in the village. Participants will spend the day collaborating with local families on a variety of community-driven development projects—such as agricultural initiatives, construction efforts, and other priority activities that support the village.
Lunch will be provided in the afternoon, followed by a short rest period, and dinner will be served in the evening.
Cultural activities and opportunities for meaningful interaction with community members will be offered to foster strong intercultural exchange.
