Why should I come to camp?

Why not?! It will be fun! It will liven up your Facebook page, give you endless hours of new conversation, priceless memories, and you will eventually move on to become the winner on Survivor ;-). Plus you get to spend 2 or 3 amazing days in the mountains of Arizona.

Are there showers and toilets?

Yes, each cabin has a private bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

What are the cabins like? 

Our cabins are rustic, but comfortable. All of the cabins have electricity, hot water, and a full bathroom (toilet, sink, shower). Most have wooden floors and bunk beds, but size and layout varies.

We do not have air conditioning in the cabins, but all do have fans and screened windows.

How do separate cabins work?

Guys and Gals will be divided into separate cabins of 8 and will sleep in their own beds.

Can I bunk with my friends?

On the registration form you will have the opportunity to request to bunk with your friends. We’ll do our best to match you up, so you can enjoy the weekend with some of your friends, while also meeting new people.

What do I need to bring?

We’ll send you a packing list once you register to give you details on what to expect. In short, bring a fun attitude, sunscreen, a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, bathing suit, your favorite musical instruments, toiletries, medication and anything else you might need.

What activities are provided at camp?

You will have the opportunity to register for your weekend activities.  You will receive a separte email to sign up for these activities.  Activities included: Rock climbing, rappelling, low ropes course, Peta Pass, ziplining, leap of faith, kayaking, canoeing, ax throwing, archery, and other fun activities.  If you forget to register for activities before you arrive to camp don’t worry at check in we will have a list of what activities are still available.  We do recommend booking your activities ahead of time to ensure you are signed up for which ones you would like to do.

What’s not allowed at camp?

No drugs, no alcohol, no smoking. Overall LDS standards apply at this event.

No, negativity, or bad attitudes.

No, Plastic water containers or single-use plastics are allowed. They are not only poisonous but destructive to the earth. Please plan to bring a reusable bottle.

What if I have a food allergy?

No Problem: we ask you about allergies in our registration and the chef can accommodate most needs.  If you have a very strick diet we do recommend bringing some of your own food.  We will do our best to accommodate everyone.

Why is the age range YSA/MSA?

Due to this type of event we have chosen to do it specific to YSA/MSA (ages 18-45) on this trip . If you don’t fit in this age range please visit Cheri’s Travel Spot and check out the other events that work better for you.

What if I have an emergency?

We collect all of your emergency information and they will have it in their camp office. We will give you our camp emergency number to give to your families.

What’s the deal with parking?

There is plenty of parking at camp. You will need to drive to Friendly Pines Camp for this event.

Are dogs allowed?

No, sorry. We love dogs, but too many issues come up with other animals, and people being allergic that we are not able to accommodate for your furry friends.

Need a ride or want to carpool?

Once you are booked you will be invited to join our Private Facebook In Crowd group.  This is a good way for people to chat before the trip, what they are excited about or looking to carpool.
